TOM FLEURIOT

I’m the founder of Flocsam. I’m an English-qualified solicitor (reference 510674), living in Edam, Netherlands.

I have over 20 years’ experience working commercial, in-house legal, compliance, risk management, and senior management roles.

My experience straddles defence, engineering, consumer goods, and e-commerce. I’ve delivered for FTSE 100 multinationals in several countries and with many nationalities and cultures.

I loved being an in-house lawyer. I’ve dealt with unknown legal issues and stabilised known ones. I’ve flown solo, led and built large and small teams, and worked in collaboration with lawyers around the world. I’ve created structured training programmes for lawyers and the business, set up technology, people or process systems and compliance regimes. I’ve seen failure, wasted time, money and energy, and picked up learnings along the way.

I founded Flocsam because I want to help businesses to see the value of legal. I believe that my methods can help companies to step back, identify the opportunity, and execute. I also talk about those on LinkedIn through both my personal page and the Flocsam company page.
